Korie is resourced from across Canada due to her depth of experience working with established and up-and-coming media and entertainment companies over her 20+ year career. She started her career in live production, followed by film equipment rental houses doing everything from lighting and grip sales to camera rentals. She is now a leader in the design and implementation of turn-key studios from floor to lighting grid and all equipment, wiring, and fixtures required between. She provides technical and hardware consulting for various customer needs, ranging from education, and corporate studios, to TV broadcasters and major motion picture studios. She works with many local gaffers, and cinematographers to provide them with the best price, and service around.
Korie understands the film industry inside and out which provides value to all levels of production. With a reputation built on trust, the ability to meet tight time and budget constraints, and a high level of after-sales service, you are in good hands with her from start to finish.
When Korie isn’t working, you can find her on her boat with her husband, son, and two dogs.

Nathan specializes in video system solutions for the broadcast, professional, and cinematic industries, focusing on high-end cinematic cameras and lenses, and DIT workflows. Nathan’s 20+ years of industry experience and product knowledge, allow him to serve his clients at the highest level the industry demands.
Nathan started in film/television production as a freelance videographer and editor, working with many clients on films, commercials, documentaries, EPKs, music videos, and live concerts. He spent five years working as an HD Camera Technician & Service Tech at industry-leading cinema rental companies, where he prepped and serviced cinematic video gear, engineered, and maintained multicam/camera chain equipment, and provided technical support for on-set digital imaging technicians.
When Nathan is not working he enjoys playing soccer, making music, and exploring the outdoors with his 2 daughters and golden retriever pooch named Peaches.
Enjoys living outside the box and always has an eye toward the future. Happy to trade the urban jungle any day for a hike in the North Shore trails.
Byron combines his 25+ years’ experience in the film and television industry with a commitment to providing his 360° approach to consulting and not just being a lead supplier in Canada, but a production partner that brings added value to any venture.
Byron has lived film and television his entire life. From his high school days working in community television, to hundreds of productions around western Canada and the US where he worked in production, camera, and playback, to flexing his entrepreneurial spirit by building and leading a national cinema sales and rentals company.
When not evolving the Prime Gear brand and business, he devotes his time to his two daughters, running endurance obstacle races, or cruising the roadways in a classic car.
An IT industry veteran, with a knack for building post suites and engineering workflow solutions to meet the needs and budget of production, whether it be streaming network or local content creator. He loves family, sports, and camping … and most of the time in that order.
Mark has 25+ years of experience working in the field and is woven into the editorial fabric of BC Film production making him Vancouver’s go-to guy for post-production solutions, workflow, and archiving.
Mark has regularly engineered and assembled full post-production studios, VFX studios, mobile streaming, and data management solutions through the ever-changing technology that we use as tools over his career. Mark holds various computer and networking-related accreditations and is also certified by Avid Technology as a Media Composer ACSR.
When Mark is not in the office, he enjoys spending his time with his family in the great outdoors or cheering on the Vancouver Canucks.
Known for his hands-on approach, and attention to detail, ensuring you are exceptionally well cared for, every step of the way. Family, service, and community are tenants of what fulfills Andy’s personal time.
Andy is very well-regarded and resourced due to his wealth of expertise within the realm of broadcast television and studio design. With a unique perspective grounded in user experience, he skillfully crafts innovative solutions that truly deliver. Whether it’s for a corporate enterprise or a House of Worship, every client receives his attention to detail, guiding each project from its initial concept to the delivery of a polished end product.
His experience comes from launching his own equipment rental company in the UK and working across Europe in production and broadcast television. During that time, he mastered the design of TV systems and studios, understanding the infrastructure and technology required to create complete but user-friendly solutions for clients’ needs. Andy’s UK company also invested time in Africa working with mission organizations and NGO’s in Nigeria and Uganda setting up remote micro-video units for the production of training programs.
Dedicated, reliable, and experienced broadcast electronics technician, always willing to go the extra mile to sort out a problem for his clients. Aficionado and repair extraordinaire of everything electronic.
Gary is beyond brilliant at what he does and is sought out far and wide because he goes above and beyond for his clients, and his ability to repair electronics like no other.
Gary is known as the “Sony Whisperer” and is the top technical resource for Sony broadcast, production, and AV products in Canada. Before working directly for Sony for a decade, he owned and operated a consumer electronic depot, and worked for a calibration laboratory and electronic test and measurement repair facility.
When Gary’s not at his service bench at Prime Gear, he enjoys restoring, repairing, and collecting antique radios, televisions, and automobiles. Gary had volunteered for the Lions Club but now spends his Saturdays volunteering at the SPCA with his youngest daughter.
